Presenter Compensation Policy
We support presenters attending Agile 2008 conference with the following compensation packages. These compensation packages offer a combination of free registration and hotel nights in the conference hotel based on type and duration of your session. These compensation packages do not include honoraria towards travel costs.
Full package
For 180 minute Clinic/Talk/Tutorial/Workshop sessions
- Registration: One free registration for first presenter
- Hotel nights: Four paid hotel nights in the conference hotel for first presenter
Extended package
For 90 minute of Clinic/Talk/Tutorial/Workshop sessions
- Registration: One free registration for first presenter
- Hotel nights: Two paid hotel nights in the conference hotel for first presenter
Basic package
For Experience Report (with accepted paper), Panel Moderator (60 mins or more), Research Paper; Talks/Workshops/Tutorials that are 60 minutes; Demonstrations/Other that are 90 minutes or more.
- Registration: One free registration for first presenter
No compensation is available for the following session types:
Panel member, Panel moderator (30mins), Poster, Research-in-progress, Vendor talk; Talks/Workshops/Tutorials that are less than 60 minutes; Demonstrations/Clinics/Other that are less than 90 minutes
Please note that presenter compensation packages are assigned to the first presenter of an accepted session. The first presenter can reassign the complete session package to the second presenter by sending an e-mail to speakers@agile2008.org. Other than this, free registrations and free hotel nights are non-transferable. Packages cannot be split between presenters. A maximum of four nights in the hotel can be accumulated by a presenter.
No compensation is available for sessions that are re-run on Friday.
If you are entitled to free registration then please confirm your acceptance, by editing your submission and indicating this in the checkbox, then we will email you a registration code. If you cannot attend the conference to present your session then please email your stage producer and we will withdraw the session from the program.
Please book your room at the conference hotel via our web pages. Alternatively reservations can be made by phone at 1-888-627-7175 and mention that you are registering for this Agile Alliance event. You do not have to provide a registration code to book your room. If you are entitled to free hotel nights, we will arrange to deduct the charges from your final bill.
